Below are both talks side by side so you can easily decide and vote.

The Sewing Machine and The Soul: Designing for Human Agency
(AI and The New Human Experience Track)
We are entering a human evolution moment. AI is not just automating work; it is automating cognition and decision making. If profit becomes the only compass, we risk turning humanity into a commodity.
Like the sewing machine revolution in the 1830s, technology can liberate or exploit. In a world of infinite productivity, purpose becomes the only value that cannot be automated.
This talk uses a Nautical lens to explore how we protect agency, ethics, and human values so that AI extends humanity, not replaces it.

The Captain is Dead:
A Human OS for the AI Storm
(Innovation and Transformation Track)
Traditional leadership is outdated. You cannot manage exponential change with linear thinking. In a world where Agentic AI evolves faster than human biology, certainty is an illusion.
Nautical Leadership offers a fluid and adaptive model for decision making, grounded in purpose and values. This talk upgrades leadership for the AI age, shifting from Command and Control to Wayfinding.

In the spirit of learning from timeless wisdom, I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we gather, work, and write. I live and work on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation. I pay my deepest respects to their Elders—past, present, and emerging—and recognise their enduring connection to country, which continues to teach us about resilience, community, and navigating with purpose.
